Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart Win Emmy Nomination For Cooking Show

Through a twist of fate, Snoop Dogg (the “King of Kush”) and  Martha Stewart (the “Queen of Cuisine”) are now both Emmy nominees for a VH1 production of “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party.”

The program has been nominated under the category of “Host for a Reality/Reality-Competition Program.”

The pair, who recently wrapped up the first season of the show, will battle Alec Baldwin (Matchgame), RuPaul Charles (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Gordon Ramsay (MasterChef Junior) Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn (Project Runway), and W. Kamau Bell (United Shades of America) for the Emmy. Roll one and tune in September 17 to see how it plays out.

The show is produced by Merry Jane, the cannabis media and lifestyle brand brainchild of Snoop Dogg. It is the first ever cannabis industry emmy nomination. Merry Jane has seeded several other new offerings, including “Seed to Strain,” “Deep Weed,” and Snoop’s own celebrity interview series, GGN (Double G News Network).

Ted Chung, co-founder of Merry Jane and media entrepreneur with Cashmere Agency, commented, “It’s an honor to receive the cannabis industry’s first Emmy nomination, not only for Merry Jane, but for the industry overall.”

The culinary duo are planning a second season.
